In the Interim

Pledge Drive Next Month – The public kickoff of our 2020-21 pledge drive is coming March 1.Thanks to Carol Teal and Andy Burgess for co-chairing this important ministry. May it serve to connect us to our deeper sense of generosity and responsibility for our covenanted community at UUCB.

New Mission Statement – Congratulations to our Board of Trustees, for developing (w/ lots of congregational input) and passing the new mission statement of UUCB:

As a beacon of liberal religion, we

Connect Bravely

Deepen Spiritually

Embody Justice

Always Love

I look forward to working with our various ministries to explore how this statement of mission can guide our work through this transitional period in our church.

Guest Preachers – It often works out that we have one guest preacher in a given month. But in January, we had none – so I’m glad to share that in February, we’ll have two. On Feb. 9, Rev. Cindy Pincus returns to our pulpit. On Feb. 23, we are joined by a relatively new-to-Boulder UU minister: Rev. Jeremy Nickel. After serving one of our congregations in the San Francisco Bay area for several years, Rev. Nickel moved to Boulder County a little over a year ago, when his spouse, Rev. Nicole Lamarche, was called to serve Community United Church of Christ in South Boulder. We look forward to welcoming each of them to our pulpit this month.

Community Hours – After a one-month hiatus, Community Hours return in February, on (some) Wednesdays from Noon – 4 PM at these locations:

Feb. 5 – Longmont Downtown (Ziggi’s, 400 Main St.)

Feb. 19 – Louisville (Bittersweet, 836 Main St.)

In faith,
