Use Our Building
The Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder has several rooms, from large to small, formal to informal. By providing an attractive and reasonably priced space, we can help make your event a success. We have rooms suitable for receptions and parties, weddings, memorial services, bar and bat mitzvahs, concerts, meetings, workshops and classes.
UUCB is conveniently located in Boulder, accessible from many major roads. The church sits on a spacious lot in a quiet residential neighborhood. Many who use our building comment on the building’s welcoming, “homey” feel.
The church has two pianos that may be used for a fee, along with the rooms in which they are located.
We can provide at no additional charge:
- 16 eight-foot banquet tables
- 3 six-foot banquet tables
- 60 plastic folding chairs
- 20 metal folding chairs

If you want to see the space, we do that by appointment only, so please call or email to arrange a time.
So that we can advise you quickly, please include the following in your email or phone message:
- Your name
- Your organization (if applicable)
- A phone number where we can reach you (please speak slowly and clearly)
- The kind of event (wedding, memorial service, workshop, meeting, etc.)
- The number of people attending
- The date of your event, and any possible alternate dates
- The start and end times of your event
- The specific room you are interested in, if you know
- Whether you will need to use our kitchen for food preparation or serving
- Whether you will need to use a piano or sound system
Sky Room – Bright and open, this carpeted room with an evaporative cooling system is perfect for a reception, workshop, or yoga class. With direct access to the kitchen and an upright piano, the room makes hosting a dinner party or reception a breeze. With more than 1600 square feet in a hexagon shape, it can easily accommodate 80 people for a sit-down dinner, 100 people for a meeting setup, or up to 150 for a reception.
Earth Room – This warm and welcoming room is our sanctuary. The front half of the room has V-shaped pews, with the back of the room open for extra seating or other activities. The room is carpeted throughout. With a beautiful stained glass feature, sound system, superb acoustics, and our prized Steinway Grand piano, this room is great for concerts, presentations, and special ceremonies like weddings, bar mitzvahs, and memorial services. With 3400 square feet, this room can accommodate up to 200 people. The room has an evaporative cooling system and the skylights have shutters to adjust the brightness level. A large patio, with shade trees and a grassy area can be accessed from the Earth room.
Emerson Meeting Room – An attractive large meeting room with an outdoor view that can accommodate 15-25 people. The room can be set up with chairs only or with rectangular tables and chairs.
Multipurpose (Youth) Room (Classroom 2) – This small carpeted meeting, class, or workshop room can accommodate 12 either around a table or in a more relaxed sofa/chair set up.
Harper Room (Classroom 7) – This pleasant room features a conference table, 12 chairs, a couch, and a white board, making it perfect for a meeting with up to 15 attendees.
Listening Room – A cozy small meeting room that can accommodate 6-8 people. The room is furnished with a two person couch, two easy chairs and two light weight padded chairs with arms. Extra chairs are available. It is perfect for a discussion group or informal meeting.
