The Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder is a member of several regional and national organizations that provide support and help us make connections with people who share our faith across Colorado and across the nation.

Mountain Desert District
The Mountain Desert District (MDD) serves 44 congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association across eight states in the Mountain West.
MDD’s direct services to congregations include:
- Chalice Lighters, which provides grants to create or expand UU churches and ministry programs;
- The Freedom Fund, which seeks to ensure that all Colorado women have equal access to reproductive options and are empowered to exercise their right for reproductive self-determination;
- Support for youth ministry, religious professionals, small grants to congregations for special projects, leadership development workshops, and other programs.
Pacific Western Region
The Pacific Western Region (PWR) is the amazing collaboration of four large, dynamic and beautiful western districts of the Unitarian Universalist Association: Mountain Desert District, Pacific Central District, Pacific Northwest District and Pacific Southwest District. The region administers the Russell Lockwood Leadership School, delivers online trainings, and provides specialized consulting services for congregations.
Unitarian Universalist Association
The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) is the central organization for the Unitarian Universalist religious movement in the United States. The UUA’s 1000+ member congregations are committed to Seven Principles that include the worth of each person, the need for justice and compassion, and the right to choose one’s own beliefs. The UUA advocates for all of us on a national scale, convenes our annual General Assembly, and is a tremendous resource for UU writings and ideas.
