Membership Matters by Barb Richards

We honor members, friends, visitors

Our thoughts and good wishes continue to be with: With Henry Kroll on the death of his wife, Jean Marie Dorothy Wilting Kroll, on Wednesday March 27th. After a two day vigil and open house at Silver Sage Village — a “Farewell to Jeanie” was held on Saturday March 30th, with Rev. Dignan in attendance. On Saturday April 6th, almost 100 people gathered at UUCB to celebrate the memory of Don Weatherly, a former member. This tribute was led by his four children, who still live in Boulder. The next day, Rev. Dignan presided at a Memorial Service for Richard Oye, member, and husband of member Bonnie Crissey. Both Dianne Ewing and Bill Osher have had health issues this last month, but are now recovered, or recovering.

Congratulations, Good Luck, Blessings, and Thanks to: On Sunday, March 31st Mary Clough & George Brandon celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary. They added that Rev. Dignan had done their honors — and would celebrate by going to brunch after church. Steve & Heidi Todd announced that their oldest granddaughter is engaged. Eric Sievering, son of Kathy & Herm, graduated this month with his MFA in film editing from Pepperdine University in CA. Suzy Belmont is so excited about her new “nibling”, Liam!  Yay!

Special Welcome to New Members: Rebecca Carnarius, Stephen Kandl & Ana Steele with son Tommy, Liz Marasco & Janet Salmons who joined us on March 31, 2019. We are so pleased that you have joined with us — on your spiritual journey.

Random Thoughts: On Friday May 3rd, I am going to Kansas City, MO for a weekend  celebration of my 65th High School reunion. Same day, Fred is going to Chicago to attend his first official Midwest UU Conference (MUUC) meeting as their newest Board member.  On Sunday he will join me in KCMO for our gala reunion luncheon.

With Love & Care,

Barb
