We honor members, friends, visitors
Our thoughts and good wishes continue to be with: Wendy Kerr, one of our new members, asks that we wrap her and her family in the web of light. Her father passed away last month after a struggle with Leukemia. Send a powerful wave of love and light across the ocean to Hawaii to them. Betty Skipp was hospitalized last month, but has returned on a recent Sunday morning. Bev Sears had a fall and is recovering. Neil DiMuccio has left his job at CU, while discerning what he hopes to do next with his education, and many skills. Amy, Ed & Elias Self’ as Amy’s mother lost her battle with Cancer last month in Texas.
Congratulations, Good Luck, Blessings, and Thanks to: Wendy Kerr’s joy is that she is part of the UUCB community of concern, connection and contagious hope. Reed Bailey is amazed and very happy that his fourth great grandchild, Abigail, has entered the world healthy and ready for her journey. Fred Cole & Barb Richards enjoyed a visit with Grandgirl Abbey Cole before she enters Navy basic training in Great Lakes MI this month. We celebrate with Briana Robustelli who has been accepted as an intern at the Seattle VA which she needs to complete her PhD. It is exciting, and at the same time it will mean she and Shawn will leave Boulder and our beloved community which has come to mean so much to them over the past 4.5 years. Tom Denkenberger and Carina Wolf got engaged! They met here at UUCB on Valentine’s Day 2016, and the rest is history.
Special Welcome to New Members: We are so please you have joined our community. Billie & Kaitlin Abbitt along with children Corbin & Fletcher, Wendy Kerr and children Kainoa & Mehana, Kate Leslie & Owen Bailey, Dorothy Ciarlo, Carole Billingham, daughter Ania & Steve Herbener, Richard Oye & Bonnie Crissey, Lorrie Barnett, Lauren Hinkle & Dan Tillberg, Amy Phillips & Frank Haskett. See their bio’s and photos, by George Wolf, on the Membership board (next to Janen’s office in the RE wing).
Random Thoughts: On Sunday, February 12 you all heard Mercede’s story as she lighted our chalice. We have companion’ed her, Kerry, Wendy & Lupita for the past five years ever since our Immigration Ministry was first formed. We have watched the young women grow up including watching Kerry learn to drive, graduate HS, and sending her off to college in Denver! I’ve mentioned before that someone in our community prepares delicious food that is available for a fixed donation amount. It is Mercedes who makes delicious, tamales, burritos, breakfast burritos, and flan. Currently you may place an order one week and it arrives the following Sunday. She also provides the food that new members enjoy at the Path to Membership sessions.
With Love & Care,
