Sanctuary Now October Happenings

Many of you know that UUCB has been discerning whether to be Sanctuary host site for immigrants facing deportation. The UUCB Sanctuary Now Team has visited several affinity group meetings such as Wine and Spirit, the Men’s Group, etc. They will join the Wise Elders meeting on October 12th so our Wise Elders can ask questions.

The Sanctuary Now Team’s role is primarily to educate Members of the UUCB congregation about Sanctuary and to prepare them for the important Vote that will take place on Sunday October 29, 2017 at 12:30.

There are still opportunities to have your questions answered and learn more.

Sunday, Oct 8, 12:30 – 1:45 – All Church Meeting.

The Reverend Mike Morran from First Unitarian Society in Denver will join us to share their experience of hosting two Sanctuary guests. We will take the pulse of our congregation regarding our collective discernment process. A light lunch will be provided. Childcare will be offered if you reserve it ahead of time by emailing Janen Wright:

Thursday, Oct 12, 6:00pm in the Emerson Room

Wednesday, Oct 18 10:00am in the Emerson Room

At each of these, ask your questions and learn more about the overall process.
