For the month of March UUCB will be Sharing Our Plate with Bridge House!
At Bridge House we provide a range of programs and services to help adults experiencing homeless have access to the resources they need for a better future. Our programs are arranged across our Bridge of Opportunity, spanning from basic needs to employment and housing. Two such examples are:
The Path to Home program supports adults experiencing homelessness with 24/7 access to basic needs services such as meals and safe shelter. Through intensive, immediate service engagement and custom navigation plans, clients are able to quickly access housing options other than emergency shelter.
The Ready to Work employment program is a year-long holistic intervention that combines paid work in a social enterprise, housing, and supportive services. Our successful Trainees break the expensive and persistent cycles of homelessness, joblessness and incarceration while empowering individuals and transforming communities.
