Music Sunday

“Season Of The Grateful Heart” with special guest Jim Scott, composer and eco-activist.  Selected movements from Jim’s choral work “Vessels Of The Sun” will be offered by UUCB’s Chancel Choir. Jim will give a brief sermon and involve the youth in a musical activity. Jim Scott is known for compositions like “Gather The Spirit” and “Common Ground”. From his work with the Paul Winter Consort where he co-wrote the celebrated Missa Gaia – Earth Mass and many other pieces, including his “A Song for the Earth,” recorded live at the United Nations on the album Concert for the Earth, Jim has gone on to create an extensive body of work. We offer this special service for the Thanksgiving holiday in honor of the Earth and our beloved community. Nursery care provided during both services.
