DESCRIPTION:The Passover Seder retells the story of the Jewish people leaving Egypt 3\,000 years ago: the first successful slave revolt recorded. It’s a celebration of freedom – and it’s a great opportunity for fellowship and connections. Rev. David grew up celebrating the Seder as part of his Jewish heritage and he’s delighted to share it with you: whether you have Jewish roots\, and whether or not you’ve never been to a Seder before\, you are warmly invited!\n\nPlease RSVP at this link\n(and if you can help with setup or cleanup\, please indicate on the rsvp form\, thanks!)\n\nWhen: 6-8pm on Thursday April 2nd. (We’ll eat around 7pm)\n\nWhere: Sky Room at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder\, 5001 Pennsylvania Ave\, Boulder\, CO 80303\n\nChildcare: Kids are very welcome; our nursery will be open but unstaffed.\n\nWhat do I bring? Dinner is potluck — please bring food to share! While we won’t attempt to be rigorously kosher\, Passover has a number of special dietary rules you’ll need to observe when bringing food:\n\nNo breads of any kind in any amount.\nNothing made with any wheat\, barley\, oats\, spelt\, or rye in any ingredient.\nNothing made with rice\, corn\, soy\, millet\, beans\, peas\, or other legume in any ingredient.\nNo pork or shellfish.\n(Please note: if you do bring a dish with any of these items\, we won’t be able to serve and share it.)

We meet “in-person” in the Sunshine Canyon Room\, at Fraiser Meadows Retirement Center (350 Ponca Place\, Boulder) on the second Wednesday of each month; from 10:00 – 12:00 am.\n\n\n\n\n\nThere is no lower-age attendance criteria; members simply self-select. Existing members declare that “The purpose and mission of the UUCB Senior Salon is to openly\, respectfully and lovingly share among ourselves\, relevant stories\, and information about facing and thriving in the later stages of life.” \nSenior Salon also meets (via Zoom) on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
