She founded the first-in-the-country queer recovery residence that welcomes all genders\, Just Living Recovery\, in Lakewood. Currently\, she is recovery coach for Whitian House\, outpatient treatment center in Lakewood\, serving incarcerated folx living in community corrections.

Additionally\, Paula speaks about her own experience of a spiritual awakening that changed the way she looks at and participates in life. \nThe first two classes relate 2 particular understandings that\, when recognized\, shift the way people experience the world. DESCRIPTION:Coach\, spiritual teacher\, and UUCB member Paula Staffeldt leads this 4-week introduction to a psycho-spiritual understanding that shines a light on the threads of peace\, love\, and wisdom that can guide us through our current world.\n\nThis particular class\, introductory in nature\, shares a psycho-spiritual contemporary wisdom teaching that helps people discover/restore a calmer and wiser state of mind\, so they can be more at ease in their lives and in the world. Additionally\, Paula speaks about her own experience of a spiritual awakening that changed the way she looks at and participates in life. \nThe first two classes relate 2 particular understandings that\, when recognized\, shift the way people experience the world. The last 2 classes follow a Q & A format. DESCRIPTION:The first Friday of every month\, we host an all-ages potluck community night from 6:00-8:00. For the first hour\, we eat and socialize\, and in the second hour there’s a variety of different activities like tie-dye and sparklers; a campfire singalong and s’mores; or Christmas caroling in December. No signup needed\, just bring some food to share and come on by! If you’d like to attend but don’t have time to cook\, we’ve always got extra food and would love your presence. \nFor January’s Community Night\, it’s cozy movie night! Wear your favorite PJs and bring a comfort food dish to share as we watch an all-ages friendly movie.

DESCRIPTION:Senior Salon is an open discussion group for seniors. We meet “in-person” in the Sunshine Canyon Room\, at Fraiser Meadows Retirement Center (350 Ponca Place\, Boulder) on the second Wednesday of each month; from 10:00 – 12:00 am.\n\n\n\n\n\nThere is no lower-age attendance criteria; members simply self-select. Existing members declare that “The purpose and mission of the UUCB Senior Salon is to openly\, respectfully and lovingly share among ourselves\, relevant stories\, and information about facing and thriving in the later stages of life.” \nSenior Salon also meets (via Zoom) on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
