When she moved to Colorado\, she taught in Denver Public Schools for 2 years; worked as a Service Representative at Mountain Bell for 3 years; and then got a computer programming job\, also at Mountain Bell.  She worked as a Mainframe Programmer and Systems Analyst for the rest of her career.

SUMMARY:May Community Night
DESCRIPTION:The first Friday of every month\, we host an all-ages potluck community night from 6:00-8:00. For the first hour\, we eat and socialize\, and in the second hour there’s a variety of different activities like tie-dye and sparklers in July; a campfire singalong and s’mores in August; or Christmas caroling in December. No signup needed\, just bring some food to share and come on by! If you’d like to attend but don’t have time to cook\, we’ve always got extra food and would love your presence. \nMay’s Community Night fun will feature a variety of tabletop games. We’ll start off with a delicious potluck supper before bringing out a variety of board and cards games to play together. While we’ll have plenty of games here\, you’re also very welcome to bring a favorite game from home! While we will not have designated childcare\, the nursery will be open for children and their families to use.

DESCRIPTION:Senior Salon is an open discussion group for seniors. We meet “in-person” in the Sunshine Canyon Room\, at Fraiser Meadows Retirement Center (350 Ponca Place\, Boulder) on the second Wednesday of each month; from 10:00 – 12:00 am.\n\n\n\n\n\nThere is no lower-age attendance criteria; members simply self-select. Existing members declare that “The purpose and mission of the UUCB Senior Salon is to openly\, respectfully and lovingly share among ourselves\, relevant stories\, and information about facing and thriving in the later stages of life.” \nSenior Salon also meets (via Zoom) on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
