DESCRIPTION:Our annual Circle Supper September picnic will be held at Heil Valley Ranch\, a public park just north of Boulder. Sharon Larocque and Dianne Ewing will host. All are invited\, but please sign up at UUCB or with Dianne (dianne@ewingdev.com or 303-776-0227\, land line). Directions to the park will be sent to those who sign up. You may want to come early and take a hike on one of the trails in the park. Bikes are welcome\, but not dogs! \nDespite the fire in the area a couple of years ago\, the site next to the creek is lovely. There is a covered area with picnic tables and plenty of parking next to the picnic area. An outhouse is close by. Bring a dish to share with serving utensils\, plus bring your own plate\, flatware\, cup\, and napkin. Water\, lemonade\, and iced tea will be provided. Bring a picnic chair\, if you can. All are welcome!

DESCRIPTION:Senior Salon is an open discussion group for seniors. We meet “in-person” in the Sunshine Canyon Room\, at Fraiser Meadows Retirement Center (350 Ponca Place\, Boulder) on the second Wednesday of each month; from 10:00 – 12:00 am.\n\n\n\n\n\nThere is no lower-age attendance criteria; members simply self-select. Existing members declare that “The purpose and mission of the UUCB Senior Salon is to openly\, respectfully and lovingly share among ourselves\, relevant stories\, and information about facing and thriving in the later stages of life.” \nSenior Salon also meets (via Zoom) on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. from 10:00 – 11:00 am. SUMMARY:Wise Elders Lunch
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our summer pot luck lunch at UUCB. We will gather at 11:30 in the Sky Room. After lunch\, we will learn about UCCB’s trips to reservations north and south of us and about the City of Boulder’s Indigenous People’s Day observations. Speakers will be Ed Self\, Karen and Jim Churnside\, and Barbara Molfese. Everyone with some free time for lunch is invited. You do not need to be “wise” or “elder.”\n\nJust bring a dish to share and your own plate\, flatware\, and cup or glass for a cold beverage. We will have a sign-up sheet at UUCB on Sundays to come. However\, signing up is not required as long as you bring some food! The sign-up sheet helps us know how many tables we will need\, and if you tell us what food you will bring\, it helps others decide what to bring.
