Reverend Kelly Dignan was ordained to UU ministry in 2013 and has served several Front Range congregations, most recently as minister of the UU Church of Greeley. Known to many of us from her ministerial internship at UUCB during the 2011-2012 church year, Rev. Dignan is growing continuously into her calling and demonstrates many qualities of spiritual and organizational leadership that we believe make her the best match for this congregation as we move into a bright future.
Grounded in a ministry of love and personal connection, Rev. Dignan is called to help each of us grow in covenantal relationship with one another. She is a firm believer in the power of ritual and storytelling, blending both into thematic worship services and sermons. She demonstrates a commitment to forging interfaith and community partnerships that take our faith into the wider world. She is a strong, mission-oriented and collaborative administrator who will partner with us to expand and improve the many programs of this church, from pastoral care to family ministry to social change. With her warm ministerial presence, high emotional intelligence, passion for our faith and a clear image of shared ministry with lay leaders, Rev. Dignan will be able to support and guide this congregation as we grow together and mature in spiritual understanding.
Rev. Dignan received a Master of Divinity degree from Iliff School of Theology in 2013, and holds a B.A. in psychology, communication and marketing from the University of Michigan. Prior to ministry, she was co-founder of an information-technology consulting firm and, later, a personal coach and counselor to young and professional women. She is a native Coloradan who has lived most recently in Littleton. Her husband Pete was recently hired as the President and COO of Renewable Choice Energy in Boulder, and they are in the process of moving to the Boulder area. Pete is a committed Unitarian Universalist who is passionate about environmental justice and growing our faith.
Rev. Dignan has two children of her own, Michael and Meghann Gilmore, who are both currently studying at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Pete also has two adult children, Ben and Aaron, and a grandson, who all live in New York.
