Sanctuary Now Ministry News – May 2018

A letter to members & friends of UUCB

Dear Members & Friends:

I want to thank all of you at UUCB for your support of Sanctuary at our church. Because of you, Ingrid now has a safe place to live with her family. In addition, because of our involvement with the Boulder County Sanctuary Coalition, our church has become a hub of immigration activity for the community. We are living our mission of enacting justice.

This is to inform you that I have resigned as Co Chair of Sanctuary Now Ministry and have also resigned from the ministry core team.

This decision is not easy for me, but for now I have decided not to have any volunteer involvement at UUCB.

As many of you know I have had a difficult winter and feel I need to take some time to heal myself. I love our church and I am not leaving; just taking a break from volunteering.

Mary Jo Highland has agreed to co chair the Sanctuary Core Ministry Team with Mary Dineen, so I know the leadership is in good hands. Please continue to support them in this important endeavor.

Thank you for your understanding.

Your in Faith, Jenny Fitt-Peaster
