Wendy Williams has served as Senior Minister at Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden. Wendy is passionate about Unitarian Universalism as a path for people who want to be awake and committed to act from love in a world both broken and beautiful. She shares the ministry with a talented staff and dynamic congregation where we nurture religious community in which we Deepen Spiritually\, Connect Authentically\, Serve Respectfully\, and Love Radically. \nOur 9:00am service is held in person in the Sky Room\, with religious education classes for PreK-5th graders\, and nursery care for infants and toddlers — though all ages are always welcome at the whole service.

DESCRIPTION:The first Friday of every month\, we host an all-ages potluck community night from 6:00-8:00. For the first hour\, we eat and socialize\, and in the second hour there’s a variety of different activities like tie-dye and sparklers; a campfire singalong and s’mores; or Christmas caroling in December. No signup needed\, just bring some food to share and come on by! If you’d like to attend but don’t have time to cook\, we’ve always got extra food and would love your presence. \nFor October’s Community Night\, get ready for Halloween and B.Y.O.P (bring your own pumpkin!). We will have mini pumpkins and craft supplies on hand for decorating. Show off your creations in a pumpkin pageant.

Ruth Rinehart is a community minister\, affiliated with Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden\, where she lives in her suburban permaculture homestead with her partner\, David Hurlbut\, their daughter and son-in-law and four cats. She founded the first-in-the-country queer recovery residence that welcomes all genders\, Just Living Recovery\, in Lakewood. Currently\, she is recovery coach for Whitian House\, outpatient treatment center in Lakewood\, serving incarcerated folx living in community corrections.

DESCRIPTION:At the balance-point between dark and day\, we gather to bear witness to the sacred cycle of the year and ground ourselves in this all-ages\, earth-centered service. Bring a branch of fall leaves\, or fresh fall flowers\, homemade bread\, or harvest from your garden to help build our altar. \nChildren\, Youth\, and Families are also invited to our Equinox Service at 6pm. We’ll have opening activities from 6-6:30\, a ritual at 6:30 and then we’ll all enjoy some vegan soups. Bring a bread\, dessert\, or beverage to share\, and if you want something to help decorate our harvest themed altar.
