I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer with family and friends. The purpose of this article is to communicate with all UUCB individuals who currently do Justice work and those who have the desire, and to announce our upcoming meetings. At UUCB, there is a Justice Council which is comprised of leaders of the Justice Ministry Teams and several “At large” members. It meets four times a year. September’s monthly theme is “Welcome” and I invite you (below) to attend our first of four meetings to learn what each group is doing. There are many important Justice ministries, and increased communication can lead to better intersectionality in our community, making us a Wheel of Justice.

Moving forward plan to read about what’s happening in all of the Justice Ministries on a monthly basis right here in the Clear Light Messenger.
Look for the insert within the Order of Service every third Sunday to connect others while participating in Justice activities.
The Midweek Messenger will reminder you of activities during the upcoming week to participate in.
Most of the Justice Ministries will have a table at the Opportunity Fair – Oct 15, 2017 so that you can learn about what we do and finding your passion.
Finally the next three Justice Council meetings are: Nov 19, 2017 (All who do not yet have a Ministry – All are welcome), Jan 21, 2018, and Mar 18, 2018.
I look forward to seeing many of you on September 17th at 1:00.
Live well – Deepen Faith – Enact Justice
Best,
