Dear Members and Friends,

Your UUCB Board works to keep the lines of communication open. We’ve recently begun, and will continue, posting monthly updates of Board meetings in the UUCB Messenger emails. Approved Board minutes are available at the UU Church of Boulder website via Quick Links, Member Documents and are posted on the church bulletin board. Last church year we also continued hosting monthly YBIL (Your Board is Listening) sessions rotating between being on Zoom and after the 2 church services.

Though the idea is sound, the YBIL experience has been somewhat limited – we’ve only had a few people, or even none attending our monthly meetings. So, we brainstormed a new approach which we’re calling the Board Roundtable and you’re invited to join us on October 27th for our first Roundtable at 10am in the Emerson Room. What to expect: a typical Board Roundtable runs from 10-10:45am on select Sundays. We’ll offer Zoom access, upon request, and hope this timeframe will accommodate both 9am and 11am service attendees as well as those who watch the service remotely. We will start with a Chalice Lighting, a brief review of respectful relationships and an update from the Board on a previously announced topic. October’s topic is welcome! The rest of the Roundtable will be for your questions, ideas and comments. At the Roundtable, we typically will have one of the Board Executive Committee present (ie Past, Current or Incoming President) plus 2 of our Board trustees.

Generally, the dates of the meetings will be the 3rd Sunday because that’s right after our monthly Board meetings. We’re announcing the meetings via Messenger and asking for RSVPs so we can manage the group size to fit in the Emerson Room and to set up Zoom as requested. We’re showing the suggested dates below, which may occasionally change to accommodate other post-service activities.

We are excited about this new format for connecting with you and hope you’ll make time to participate and offer your input.
