This is an Earth-centred holiday of Gaelic origin that is widely celebrated in Scotland, Ireland, and the Isle of Man as well as by Wiccans, Druids, and Earth Pagans around the world. The holiday marks the midpoint of summer and the coming of autumn with celebrations of the harvest, community, and feasts.
A traditional Wiccan ceremony with interfaith elements will be held with chants, song, and a dance around a cauldron. Please bring a poem or prayer to share. Afterwards, there will be an arts and crafts activity for young and old. There will also be some snacks/sweets – if you’d like to bring a dish, snack, sweet, or drink to share, please do so! Vegan and vegetarian-friendly snacks will be served along with coffee, tea, water, and juice.
