PATIENCE is a VIRTUE
As you may remember, we submitted our annexation application to the City of Boulder on September 8. The review schedule published by the City indicates an initial response in 3-4 weeks. Well, we are still waiting. From the City’s planning portal, comments were scheduled to be complete on October 23, then moved to October 30, and now it’s November 6.
There has been some progress. Our application has been assigned a case manager, has passed several of the reviews, but is still waiting on the last set of reviews (like transportation, engineering, flood plain). We expect comments from the attorney’s review and the case manager.
NEXT STEPS
The Annexation Team, including our land use attorney and architects, are waiting in the wings to review the City’s response and work on a strategy for our response back to the City. At that time, we will determine what kind of outreach is required from our UUCB community.
Once we understand the annexation costs, we can develop a full project cost and identify our fundraising gap. We anticipate forums once we have that information. We also are excited to share the current building design following our cost cutting efforts this spring and summer.
We’ll keep you informed as we continue to move through the process!
