Unitarian Universalist Church of BoulderWe use many names to talk about "spiritual experience" -- peak experience, a sense of aliveness, encounter with the holy, a feeling of the sacred, experiencing the world as it is, meeting God -- but no names quite get at what that experience really is. The words we use to speak about it aren't the same as what the experience is: our maps are not the territory.
