UUCB Community,

I write with the news that on January 7th, we will bid a fond farewell to our membership coordinator Irene Kirschenbaum who is moving to a new job with eTown. It’s a great opportunity and a great role for her — but sad for us! Irene will be with UUCB through the end of the year while we work to hire a new membership coordinator to fill that vital role.

So much has happened with Irene’s leadership in membership and connections through this last year: three dozen new members have joined the congregation; we’ve launched our monthly Community Nights on first Fridays; restarted “Exploring UUCB” on first Sundays; and overhauled our name tags. I’m most grateful for the ways Irene has supported and nurtured a congregational culture of welcome and belonging – knowing that the real substance of the congregation is our relationships which can only come from each other.

It’s still a little too soon to say goodbye, but I hope you’ll join me in expressing your appreciation for everything Irene has brought to the UUCB community.
