9:00am Service – The End of Just War

Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder

For 1,500 years, theologians and philosophers have debated when and how and why war can be justified. But however clean those theories might be, the difference between theory and practice is always greater in practice than in theory.

10:00am Service – Flower Service

Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder

Celebrate the 101st anniversary of this annual Unitarian service at this one intergenerational 10:00am service! Norbert Čapek, founder of the Unitarian Church in Czechoslovakia, saw the need to unite the diverse congregants of his church from varying Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish faiths. For this reason, in 1923, he honored the universal beauty of nature by having a communion of flower instead of the Eucharist. Please bring a flower to share during the service.
