Are borders helpful or a hindrance? Can we see beyond what divides us to what makes us whole?
Rev. Randy Spaulding is the pastor at Boulder Mennonite Church and a Community Minister at UUCB. He received his MDiv at Yale Divinity School and has served congregations in Indiana, Florida and Colorado, and as an oncology chaplain in Connecticut. He is married to his husband Gary Stephens and they live close to UUCB with their two Labs, Pride and Justice. Rev. Randy is the first openly gay male to be ordained in the Mennonite church, and was one of the writers of a 2022 resolution that made Mennonite Church USA fully affirming of LGBTQ+ persons at the denominational level.
