New Website, Logo, and Nametags on Sunday the 20th

Date

Sunday the 20th isn’t just the first day we return to two services at 9:00 and 11:00. It’s also the day our updated logo, new website, and new nametags are coming! Over the last weeks, we’ve shared about the need to update the feel of the logo to better match the feel of the congregation; the need for a website that tells the story of who we are to newcomers; and the importance of erasing the perception of hierarchy in the way we do nametags.

In each of these ways, we’re building on who we already are and what we’re about. We’re a community where the highest rank you can get is “regular person” and everyone has already achieved it! We’re a community who cares about welcoming curious newcomers just as we ourselves were welcomed in – however long ago it might have been. From nametags and signage to coffee hour conversations, we are a community of belonging. It matters that everyone here has the opportunity to be who they are and who they’re called to be – whether they’ve been at UUCB for minutes or for decades. It’s that feeling of real welcome and belonging that matters most. New nametags, updated logos and the website overhaul isn’t about changing who we are, it’s all about doing a better job of showing who we are and what we’re about. Ultimately those changes are only a reflection of the welcome and invitation you make to each other. We hope you’ll join us on Sunday the 20th for joyful services at 9:00am and 11:00am!
