Under the Box

We begin in the 9am service with the adults to enjoy a Time for All Ages with the whole community, then we continue to explore the themes for the week in class.

Class has four parts:

1. Chalice Lighting and Check In, which includes a blessings and concerns ceremony that is similar to what the adults do in services.
2. We introduce the week’s theme through conversation and/or story
3. We explore the theme further with a play-based or expressive/creative activity;
4. We conclude with a reflective activity that gives each student an opportunity to share what they’ve learned.

We aim to offer spiritual nourishment to your students in the same way you are offered spiritual nourishment in services at UUCB.
