Join the Conversation with Your Affinity Group!
Let’s collaborate to refine our vision!
This summer, we’re inviting every Affinity Group to share feedback on the design concepts from Visioning III. The Building Design Team will join one of your group’s regular meetings (in-person or virtual) this summer. This will be the time to share your thoughts, questions and ideas to help shape the final plan.

Let’s build a future that reflects all our voices!
We’ve begun meeting with UUCB affinity groups – two so far, with19 more planned this summer. As we go, we’re refining our questions to ensure we give Rodwin’s architect team meaningful feedback about how our community uses, and hopes to use, our space in the future.
Our overriding goals are to foster inclusion, generate excitement, and inspire support for our expansion.
What we’ve learned so far …
The Men’s Group wants to start meeting at UUCB. Their group ranges from 10 to 30 people, and they’re looking for a comfortable, flexible “man cave” space. They also hope for a kitchen that’s welcoming to everyone, including those not used to working in kitchens. They would also love a covered outdoor area for gatherings when weather allows.
The Worship Leaders Group focused on both indoor and outdoor worship needs. They emphasized the importance of a space that’s adaptable for different types of gatherings — especially the chancel and the sanctuary. The group values a clean, uncluttered design that feels both functional and calming. Most importantly, they want an environment that feels peaceful, spiritually uplifting, and fosters a sense of connection.
