Music at UUCB

On Sundays, we make music that grounds, supports, and deepens our shared experience. Our musicians are connected with each other in relationships of support and trust – and you can feel that in the sound they make.

We use music to build community, deepen our spirituality, learn about our world, and raise our voices in protest.

Whether you like to sing, play an instrument, or prefer just to listen, the music program at UUCB welcomes everyone to participate in a way that is meaningful to them.

Our music program invites transformative, emotionally resonant experiences which inspire us to deepen spiritually, embody justice, connect bravely, and always love.

We make embodied, confident music which is a part of the continuous and cohesive arc of a service: grounding, supporting, and deepening the congregational experience. In the music selections, we draw on a variety of sources: we value tradition, we delight in novelty, we balance a variety of musical experiences over time. Our musicians are connected with each other in real relationships of mutual support and trust which can be felt in the sound they make.

“Worship floats on a sea of music..."
