You could help create a worship service, even if you hate public speaking! Four times a year, a small group of folks in the congregation plan and lead Sunday worship. We meet to talk about what worship means for us and what elements of the service we want to include or modify. It’s a chance to reflect on what church is and to get to know more about each other. Most of the group will present the service on Sunday, by preaching a short sermon they’ve written or by reading pre-written parts of the service. But anyone is welcome to participate in planning a service without needing to speak in public at all.
Our next lay-led services are on July 7. Let Cait McQuade know if you’re interested in participating or just curious about how it works at caitlin.mcquade@gmail.com!
